Woof! Meow! Want to learn how to take better pictures of your pet or other animals? Professional pet photographer Judy Reisman will show you how. Judy will share her secrets of animal psychology in getting animals to cooperate and giving you the special look that makes you say Awwwww! Posing will also be covered, as will be backgrounds and accessories,shooting animals alone and with people, and you will learn how to use natural light, reflectors, your camera’s flash and studio lighting (for those with suitable cameras) for pet portraiture. We provide the pet models.

- After a 20-year career as a technical translator for the World Bank, Judy turned to photography full-time, switching from writing with words to writing with light. Teaching at the Washington School of Photography brought her joy in sharing her passion for photography with others as well as accolades from her students. She now hosts photo tours in Frederick County and in the Shenandoah Valley for the Washington Photo Safari and does pet and people portraiture and fine-art nature prints for private clients, as well as private tutoring. She is currently editing a book on photography and building her fine-art and stock portfolios.
