Night Safaris
Monuments at Night
Washington DC’s National Mall is the showcase of the nation’s capital, home to its most famous and historic monuments. One of the best ways to see it is through the viewfinder of your own tripod-mounted camera at twilight and at night, guided by a professional architectural photographer.

“The Safari was absolutely outstanding! Melanie is great. She covered a lot of material and in many ways. She told us about the techniques, then helped us to execute them, and then reinforced what we learned by asking questions about how we would handle different situations. She is very good.”

“My wife and I have been teachers for 12 years now and we are both very impressed with your style of instruction. Many of the folks I have met in photography talk down to you as soon as they realize you are ‘just an amateur.’ You, on the other hand, were so supportive and made everyone feel welcome. I can’t wait for another Safari! There is only so much you can learn from a book, but experiencing it on the spot trumps all else.”

“Thank you again, David for the class yesterday. It’s definitely taken away my fear, and reduced my ignorance about using F-stops and shutter speeds. I feel ready to practice now and get more proficient. I’m sure I’ll be enrolling in more of your Safaris.”

“I really enjoyed the advanced digital Safari today with Melanie. I got more out of the 3 hours + than 6 months of shooting on my own. I look forward to participating in more.(Hopefully warmer) Thanks to you both.”

“Brian and I had a wonderful, unforgettable time and took thousands and thousands of pictures. John and Sean did an amazing job in picking the locations for taking landscape and wildlife pictures (and paid the animals well to show up at the right time), providing enough food and water, and all that driving and being extremely patient in teaching everyone and answering our questions. I am surprised they weren’t horse from talking so much. Brian and I learned a lot from John and Sean and give them high praise, and we can’t wait for their next big week long photo Safari. Thank you all for providing another unbelievable photo Safari.”
