Washington Photo Safari is  pleased to now offer private photo safaris for serious shooters who know how to operate their  cameras but just want to find all the best photo opportunities in the nation’s capital.

These safaris are led by E. David Luria, a professional architectural photographer and founder and director of Washington Photo Safari ,  who has lived in the DC area for more than 50 years,  knows where all the good pictures are and when and how to take them,  and who has directed the training of 46,000+ amateur photography customers over the last 25 years.

Mr. Luria can accommodate up 4 clients in his private vehicle, taking them for 2 hours to one or more to the photo locations of their choice on weekdays, such as:

  • Twilight and blue hour at the US Capitol
  • Sunset, looking west on the National Mall
  • The US Marine Corps Memorial and its city views, at dawn
  • The “Big Three” monuments ( Lincoln, Washington, the US Capitol,) all aligned  in a straight view from the Netherlands Carillon in Arlington, in the golden hour and at night

  • Sunrise  from the World War II Memorial
  • Nighttime at the new  World War I Memorial
  • Sunset from the rooftop Terrace of the Kennedy Center

The cost of these 2 -hour privately guided  safaris, including transportation to the chosen sites,  is:

  • $240 for 1  photographer
  • $400 for 2 photographers
  • $500 for 3 photographers
