EMS Photo Adventures is offering a two-day immersive experience in Washington, DC, designed to elevate your photography skills!

Enhance your storytelling skills and create impactful visual images that earn you recognition by learning documentary photography in one of the most iconic and historic cities in the US – Washington, DC.

Led by 2-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Essdras Suarez – who has three decades of experience – this two-day immersive experience is designed to elevate your photography skills, transforming your approach to capturing the essence of a place or an issue. This course empowers you to effectively convey social issues and document societal problems through photography.

During the program, you will come to understand the purpose of documentary photography in showcasing or bringing attention to specific subjects or issues. With a mix of theory sessions and hands-on practice, you will gain invaluable insights and refine your skills to become a more skilled and versatile photographer.

Two Theory Sessions of 3-4 hours will delve into the principles and techniques of documentary photography. The second half of each day will be dedicated to practical application, with participants receiving guided practice and personalized feedback.

The importance of great composition, the power of quality light, storytelling and decisive monments will be covered throughout the program.

In addition, each participant will receive a free 30-minute one-on-one portfolio/review session.
