Early Spring in Florida is hard to beat when it comes to variety and numbers of birds. Spend five full days immersed in bird photography with nature photography guide, Sean Quintilian. Sean has been traveling to Florida for photography and birding for over 27 years. During that time he has been able to sort through dozens of locations to put together a photo trip that covers a great variety of birds, not to mention plenty of alligators, a chance to see manatee, and in Florida there can always be some surprise critters!

Sunday March 1, 2026 we will all arrive in Orlando, and travel down to the Boca Ratan area, all transportation in Florida is provided. We will then spend 2 and a half days visiting spots along the southern Atlantic coast of Florida. This will include, but not limited to …

  • Nesting wood storks and other wading birds
  • Florida burrowing owls
  • Florida scrub jays
  • Painted buntings

On Wednesday March 4 we will travel to the Space Coast area, central east coast. We will spend Wednesday evening and all day Thursday and Friday continuing or pursuit of more birds, including…

  • Sand Hill cranes
  • Nesting Roseate Spoonbills
  • Osprey
  • Brown and hopefully White pelicans

To name a few.

This time of year will allow for an amazing variety of birds in Florida, although most of our time will be with larger water birds, herons, egrets, wood storks and ibis, the locations we visit will be host to dozens of species, from ducks to warblers, eagles and grebs, purple gallinules, limpkin, the list can go on and on. Although this is primarily a wildlife shoot, there may be some opportunities for some landscapes and a few sunsets.

Lodging will be arranged by Sean, you will be responsible to pay at check in, but don’t need to worry about making reservations.
