We will start the day shooting the sunrise over Blackwater NWR. The morning will then be spent shooting various scenic spots around the refuge as well as the large variety of waterfowl that winter at Blackwater.

Species that should be possible to photograph are snow geese, tundra swans, pintail ducks, mallards and Canada geese. Other wildlife sightings possible will be bald eagles, great blue herons and other waterfowl.

We will return to Cambridge around 11:30 for lunch and then head to the Choptank river to photograph various diving ducks. The afternoon will have opportunities for very close pictures of canvasback, redhead, lesser scaup and widgeon ducks.

The day will end around 5:00 pm as we run out of light on the river.

This is an outdoor shoot, so please be prepared to stand in the cold for hours at a time. Warm boots and good gloves will be a must.

A good variety of lenses from wide angle to telephoto will be used on this shoot, as well as a sturdy tripod Please email Sean with any questions [email protected]
