In celebration of the Lunar New Year, the REACH glows again with the return of the stunning Winter Lanterns! Visitors can stroll through approximately 100 lanterns made up of 10,000 colored LED lights, all crafted by Chinese artisans. Explore luminescent fields of playful pandas, butterflies and flowers, frogs and flamingos, sea creatures, and more.

True to our tradition of only taking you to the BEST places in DC for photography, this is a great opportunity to learn from architectural photographer E. David Luria the techniques of nighttime cityscape photography, shooting on the Manual Mode and adjusting the white balance settings for correct color. Our safari is timed to take advantage of the deep “Blue Hour” of civil twilight, and we will also shoot images of the Kennedy Center structure and the views of Rosslyn, Georgetown, and the Potomac River from the REACH courtyard.
Meet at the entrance of the REACH complex at the Kennedy Center, 2700 F St NW.
Closest METRO is Foggy Bottom,(Blue/Orange/Silver Lines) with courtesy buses running every 10 minutes to the Kennedy Center. There is parking in Kennedy Center lot; limited street parking available.
