Quick Details
This virtual, online course provides extensive training to Photoshop Elements 2023, specifically for the photographer. It teaches all of the fundamentals and basic, essential Elements’ tools that a photographer needs to enhance, edit and retouch great images, as well as how to create composites (with dramatic impact), analyze a work in progress, and increase production (and creativity) by developing a good workflow. In addition, you will learn how to create selections and how to work with layers, adjustment layers, blending modes, filters, brushes, and color swatches to achieve special photographic effects. Also, in the final session, we will discuss monitor calibration, color management, printing, organizing your files, and how to prepare your digital images for submission to photo shows or competitions.
This class will primarily take advantage of training videos produced by the instructor and provided to students each week to cover that week’s lesson. We will then meet weekly via Zoom for 5 one and one-half hour sessions, allowing time for questions and answers, homework review, a quick overview of each week’s video topics, and a demo of the homework assignments. All material (videos, handouts, images used in the exercises, etc.) will be available via the instructor’s website. Each student should have PS Elements 2023 on either a Mac or PC computer or laptop. Additional information (Zoom Meeting ID, password, etc. will be sent one week prior to the first class).
