Washington, DC is one of the most photogenic cities in the country, especially at night! We’ll show you how to capture it on your smartphone.
Sunrise is one of the best times of day to capture the beauty of Washington DC’s most famous icons!
After giving an orientation on the basic techniques of nighttime photography, WPS instructors will take you to the most photogenic areas on the western end of the National Mall.
The three-day photography package provides basic training in travel photography and includes all the major iconic memorials by day and by night, an afternoon at the Library of Congress, a morning at the Smithsonian national Zoo, and an insider’s view of Reagan Washington National Airport.
If you don’t mind getting up real early and tromping around the Tidal Basin on a cold April morning, then you’ll get great photos on this safari!
On this Safari we teach the principles of travel photography and camera use by wending our way slowly along the Tidal Basin path towards the Jefferson Memorial.
Here is your opportunity to AVOID the springtime crowds and enjoy Washington DC’s Tidal Basin ringed in vibrant color: deep red, gold, pink, orange, purple, and brown during the mild weather of early November.
Many of the memorials on the western end of the National Mall are surrounded by colorful fall foliage! Learn where and how to photograph magnificent foliage right here in the Nation’s Capital.
